The facilities and room amenities at this hotel are exactly as pictured and described. The rooms are designed in a traditional Japanese style and offer a true Japanese ryokan experience. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the tatami mats are very comfortable to lie on. The private onsen feels great, enjoying the view of the river and woods out the window, accompanied by the sound of birds chirping and an overwhelming feeling of relaxation. The public onsen on the fifth floor is also excellent, with complimentary use of massage chairs to provide total soothing for the experience. Breakfast was buffet style with Japanese and Western options, and while the flavors weren't as outstanding as expected, it was still good overall.

It is only 10 minutes away by foot to the hakone yumoto statin which connects to the Odawara station which is a JR station. The amenities in Hot Springs were wonderful and it felt so good. The breakfast was also awesome and had so many varieties of food and it was all so delicious. We love the traditional tatami mats and the futons. We had an overlook of the river in our room and it was so calming and relaxing. They also gave us free manjus everyday which was so delicious and touching. The staff were also kind and helpful. There was also free parking and you just have to let them know that you have a car and they will take your keys just in case they have to move it.

This is a great hotel. I had no expectations when I booked so was very pleasantly surprised when we arrived. It's quite modern and the staff are very welcoming. It was a reasonably easy check in process and we were in our rooms in no time. Our room overlooked the stream/river and we could open our balcony windows to listen to the wind in the trees and water running past. We booked dinner for one of the nights we were there - the food was really great and our wait staff were so discreet. A lot of the guests dined in so the restaurant was busy, which we took as a good sign. Breakfast was also a winner with lots of choices for most.

The building is really traditional, we couldn't ask for anything better! The rooms were amazing, with river view, yukatas and amenities for all the occupants. They came in at 6pm to prepare our futons!! They also gave instructions about how to wear the robe properly. The breakfast was varied both from a western and eastern point of view. We did not use the public onsens as we have tattoos, but we tried the private one and it was INCREDIBLE. Last but not least, the staff - everyone was very welcoming and answered all of our questions and offered recommendations about everything.

Quiet location. Room is really spacious and clean. Onsen was amazing! Staff was also very friendly. I would like to say that Toan was very polite and helpful. I enquired about the dinner because I assumed that it was to be reserved on the day since Booking.com didn’t give the option to prior to my arrival, but to my horror it was all fully booked and you did have to make a reservation early! Toan, however, managed to slot me into a dinner slot and I couldn’t be anymore grateful! Thank you for completing my ryokan experience, Toan!
